SOLD!

We closed on the sale of Wonderstruck yesterday and now she moves on to her new family.

Kim got to do one last trip on Wonderstruck to take her up to Savannah for the haul out. Her friend Brenda went along and helped with the trip.

We have moved into an apartment in Orlando. It’s not very big but with help from some expandable IKEA furniture it has room for people to come and visit us.

I am back at work. I am keeping my part time status so that I have the freedom to travel in the summers. The travel bug isn’t gone yet.

ED COVID-19 style

Skipper is loving being back on land. Actually he is happy wherever he goes as long as he is with Aislin.

Skipper loves the dog park

The kids are back in school. They opted for the face-to-face option, along with about 30% of the kids in Orange County. They have to wear masks all day, the cafeteria spaces them out to the ends of tables and on outside benches. It isn’t high school how we remember it, but they are adjusting and glad to be there.

Headed off to school

The kids are settling into land activities. Ben will still be sailing every Saturday, but in addition he is running cross country with the high school. Both kids are playing piano again. And Aislin got to graduate to a full size fishtank.

Just add water and fish

In the meantime we are understanding the phrase, “put yourself in the way of beauty”. Being in an apartment in the city we aren’t immersed in marine life, birds, the moon at night, the sunrises and sunsets. They are still there, we just have to make a point of looking now.

And ,of course, Kim and I are already in discussion for our next adventure, RV or Trawler?
