Our First Easter on Wonderstruck

For those of you who are wondering, yes the Easter Bunny visits boats, at least it visits Wonderstruck.  The kids woke up with reusable bags full of Easter candy and fun doodads. We had a nice brunch at Cracker Barrel. Of course, Pink Pig accompanied us with her and Aislin in matching outfits. IMG_1945 IMG_1940

When we returned to the boat Kim and I sent the kids on an errand to walk the dogs and when they returned the Easter Bunny had hidden eggs all over the boat.  The kids had great fun doing an egg hunt, although we all missed Maxwell Flynt DePriest helping them find eggs.

That afternoon the marina had a big Easter party at the clubhouse, complete with a meal and fun games. The kids got roped into participating in one game. There were 4 couples, the man sat in a chair in front of his wife (in our case, sister) standing behind him. The woman was blindfolded and then using only one hand had to apply makeup (lipstick, blush, and eyeshadow) to his face. Everyone was screaming laughing as Aislin drew a lipstick mouth on Ben’s cheek. Instead of using a finger to apply eyeshadow she just took the whole container and rubbed it in the area of his eyes. Ben was a good sport (as were the burly bearded men who will have to wash lipstick out of their facial hair). Aislin and Ben won the competitions with the loudest cheers from the audience.easter 2015

  1. I’m happy to hear that the Easter Bunny doesn’t get sea sick and does boat visits! Funny where he hide the eggs, in plain site, that silly rabbit.

    Enjoy.
